Beautiful flowers, those are Datura, fragrant beauties. Congrats on the button purchase!

Any name they go by in your area is correct :). What we call moon flowers in this area is a vine, also with large fragrant flowers (a plant I try to grow each year but our growing season is not quite long enough), datura self seeds prolifically, and is a hallucinogenic and poisonous as you mentioned. Most folks around here call them trumpet flowers.

I love your crazy quilting, it is a craft I have always wanted to try.
