One more birdhouse block

My stitchin' buddy Norma send me two birdhouse buttons, and what could I do but use one to make up one more swap block? (the second button goes into my stash of "can't bear to part with it" buttons). I set the birdhouse up on the highest stake of a trellis, knowing of course, that in real practice, this sort of set-up would topple over if a butterfly landed on it, let alone a bird. But that's one of the nice things about the embroiderer's world; anything is possible!

A pretty, pretty block. Can't wait to see it in person!

Very nice, Janet. Where'd you get the cute birdie beads? Oh, and another question, what is the stitch that you used "on top" of the chevron stitch? It's cool!

Adorable buttons and beads. Lovely stitching and color combinations.

I absolutely love that lattice and know it will show up on one of the moms blocks! What a beautiful block, all around.

I obviously missed this post but I've heard so much about this block that I just had to come and search it out.

And......it was worth it! It's beautiful. I love the SRE rose and leaves but the stitching around the birdhouse is wonderful. Nice job.
