Here's my version of Aunt Verdi's Porch. It still lacks a few wall boards, but I will have to finish those when I get some more DMC 613 floss. As you can see, I left out the straight-back chair, the hat, and the flower pots. I added a different flower pot and a cat who is so intently watching a mouse hole that she can't even be bothered to let us see her face. Sad thing for the tiny mouse (behind the rocker), wondering how he's going to get home.
The cat and flower pot are from Donna Kooler's 555 Timeless Cross-Stitch Patterns. While I was hunting through my library for the cat motif, I found several CCS UFOs (unfinished objects). Some are nearly done. I really should finish those.....

I really like your adaptation. It is more relaxing than the origina.
I almost always change something about a design, surely not to this extent-very interesting what you have done! Thanks for sharing! *~*CAROLE*~*
Very nice, Janet! I especially like the more colorful quilt. It's interesting how your changes brightened up the whole piece.
It's amazing how those UFOs can sneak up on you...in all different areas, too! My list is kind of scary!
